Landon and Bogart were both born with cleft palates. Landon’s mom, Kelly Sayer, recalled that Landon had hearts and sparkles in his eyes as soon as she handed Bogart to him.

Kelly has been fostering puppies even before her son, Landon, was born. However, Kelly needed to stop so she could focus on caring for her child born with a cleft palate.

Kelly recalled that she talked to her husband about fostering puppies again when Landon turned four years old. Kelly wanted her family to have something to look forward to and be busy about, aside from going to doctor’s appointments.

Landon shared that Bogart was tube-fed with special medicines, just like he was. Bogart also needed to have surgeries to fix his cleft palate problems.

Kelly said that Bogart was the most special foster puppy among all of the pups they cared for because of how similar Bogart was with Landon. Kelly could not believe that there is a puppy that is the same as her kid.

Kelly shared that Bogart’s bold personality started to show as time passed. Bogart was not afraid to play and run alongside the big dogs that they have at home.

Bogart bounced and trotted confidently through his foster family’s home. Kelly shared that Landon and Bogart even started calling each other Bogie.

Kelly shared that Bogart dashes to Landon as soon as he hears Landon calling him Bogie. Bogart walks toward his human mom if she calls him Bogie, but it is different when it is Landon who calls him that.

Kelly said that Landon and Bogart are together 24/7, and they both love doing things together. They always sit, play, and sleep beside one another.

Landon loves Bogart so much that he decided to foster puppies with cleft palates. Landon could not let Bogart go, so Kelly decided to adopt Bogart for good.
