In some parts of the world, it’s common for a dog to spend most of its life in chains, never getting to explore or play outside. Some of those dogs get rescued, while others are not so lucky. Furthermore, the ones that get rescued often have a hard time getting adopted, especially if they are senior dogs.

One senior dog from Greece named Mumia spent most of her life tied to a corner in someone’s yard. Despite living in such a bad environment, she was still friendly and sweet. When Mumia was rescued by a man named Takis, she showed him nothing but kindness and obedience.

The dog’s life changed when a woman from Finland named Minttu visited Greece with her family. The woman saw Mumia and was reminded of a dog she once had. After seeing the resemblance, the woman decided to adopt Mumia and bring her to Finland.

Mumia experienced a lot of things for the first time. She’s never been walked on a leash or received a warm bath. Despite all these things being new to her, Mumia never shied away from experiencing them.

Minttu has several daughters that help care for Mumia. They were the ones who taught the dog how to play with toys. Furthermore, they were responsible for ensuring that the dog was regularly exercising.

After some time, Minttu adopted an old labrador named Max, that later became Mumia’s best friend. The two dogs became inseparable, doing every activity they could together. Because of that, the family likes to think of the two dogs as a couple.

Mumia became acclimated to her new environment after several months living with her new family. Even if she was a senior dog, she felt like a puppy because she was treated well. Likewise, the people taking care of her felt loved and appreciated by her too.
